James Sayegh is a Principal and Chief Development Officer at Elmdale Partners. His expertise includes maximizing property value through creative physical improvement, complex zoning entitlements and efficient asset management practices. Under Jim’s leadership, Elmdale has grown an in-house development team composed of asset management, architecture, project management and on-site construction management.
Jim's real estate developments reflect his passion for preservation and adaptive re-use, having garnered multiple preservation awards. He has developed and/or repositioned millions of square feet of mostly commercial property in the Midwest and Northeast, specializing in adaptive re-use of non- or under-performing assets, often self-performing construction. Jim has also been the Owner and Managing Partner of several single-purpose real estate investment entities. His portfolio of properties under management has included a rent roll full of national tenants.
Jim has volunteered his expertise to many, the most notable of which are: Village of Winnetka Business Community Development Commission, Appointed Member-at-Large; Village of Buffalo Grove Steering Committee, Appointed Member-at-Large; WCPOA, Founder of a Landlord Association in Winnetka, IL; Namaste Charter School, Facility Board Member
Jim holds degrees in Real Estate Finance, Marketing and International Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
